I came across the 2005 Christian Lacroix Spring Summer Haute Couture collection on Pinterest and I absolutely adore it. Feminine and whimsical. Ruffles and bows. Sparkles and florals. Luxurious and most definitely not for everyone, which makes me love it even more. Every look in this collection has so much to look at and admire.
Rewatching videos of the Valentino Haute Couture show I feel relaxed, at ease, and so in love with fashion. The gowns are just out of this world. Spectacular. Divine. The thought that goes into every little detail is so amazing to me. If there was one gown I had to live in for the rest of my life, it would be a Valentino. His shows evoke powerful emotion.
The Redemption Haute Couture collection for this upcoming fall really caught my eye and mesmerized my edgy meets feminine and girly side. You’ll find me in the winter and early spring often pairing leather jackets with feminine pink floral dresses. This first look that went down the runway was a pink mini dress that was formed into a rose on the front side, bedazzled with dangling crystals. That is my favorite look from the collection, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get that dress out of my head until I get my hands on something similar. I love the 80s inspiration in this collection, as I always admire a big, dramatic one shoulder.
Elie Saab’s Spring 2019 Couture collection is an underwater dream
Inspired by the sea, Elie Saab’s gowns and pantsuits for Spring/Summer Couture are oh so perfect. Coral branches were imagined in sequins or lace. The gowns have incredible movement; with the use of tulle and organza it made all the models look like beautiful flowing mermaids. One of the mini dresses has coral sea blossoms covering its entirety with gold accents and feathers throughout, giving off a retro-like feel that I always love. Keep on Reading!
Karl Lagerfeld never fails to take the Chanel shows to another place. From launching a rocket ship to a beach, and even a grocery store, the scenes never disappoint, as the clothes never do either. For this couture show Lagerfeld turned the Grand Palais into an Italian Villa sure making us all long even more for sunnier days. Keep on Reading!
Oh, Ralph & Russo never disappoints. Color and extravagant, this collection was anything but boring.
Bravo Giambattista Valli. You’re tulle gowns certainly won’t ever go out of style, especially to me, the tulle lover herself. The gowns were major with oversized bows, short hemlines, ruffles, and feathers all over. 80s inspired shoulders added to the mini dresses. Volume volume volume forever and always for Valli.
