Wedding season is here, and finding something to wear can be difficult. When finding a dress to a wedding there are many things to consider, one being that you should absolutely not wear white, but how to find an affordable dress. Dressing for a wedding can get expensive, and when you’re not going to wear the dress again for some time, you want to try to save as much money as you can.
I love myself a good hat, or fascinator if I’m feeling a bit extra. This past Spring I bought this satin rose colored Derby party hat for a fun accessory to add to my wardrobe. Don’t let the name fool you though, I most certainly just wore this hat on a day out exploring the city. I definitely want to add more “Derby style” hats to my accessories for this summer. Hats are such a fun way to experiment with different textures, colors, and styles.
When the new summer arrivals landed on the Tory Burch website this past week I immediately had to stop and go scrolling through. Whenever I see the new collections at Tory Burch it’s like a breath of fresh air. The pieces are always so clean looking, new and re-imagined, and there’s always something to love (if not multiple, or everything if you’re like me and obsessed with the Tory Burch aesthetic and lifestyle.)
When the summer months come around I always tend to gravitate towards blues. Not just in my wardrobe, but in my makeup lately as well. I tried out the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in cobalt blue just last week and have been obsessed with it ever since. I rarely ever experiment with makeup, but I’ve been loving doing the blue mascara with an aqua eyeliner lately to add some fun to my makeup look.
They’re flooding our Instagram feeds being worn by every it-girl, the strappy 90s sandals. I got myself a pair of these from Zara this past winter to wear with socks, and I’m getting my hands on a few more just in time for summer. They come in all the summer colors we could ask for, and they hit every price point.
Over the past year I’ve seen tremendous growth overall in people being more aware of the Earth and using reusable products. States and countries are banning plastic bags and straws, which is a huge step. I came back from New York City to see my hometown had banned plastic bags, and now at every store they give out paper bags or have reusable bag options. Another thing I’ve seen more and more people doing is shopping second hand clothing and accessories. Now, I can’t deny that I used to be so iffy and “a little” grossed out about buying second hand clothing online from people I don’t know, or going into a thrift store and purchasing something.
The Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is currently going until June 2nd, and there are so many good deals on amazing pieces that I had to do a post to round them all up for you. From my favorite Nordstrom brand Halogen, to brands like Tory Burch, J.Crew, Diane von Furstenberg, and Kate Spade, this sale has anything and everything. There are also some crazy good deals on Versace, Prada, Miu Miu, Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo shoes and more!! Ladies if you want those designer heels, I’d check out this sale because your favorites may just be included!
I’m always on the hunt for new shops and designers to buy from, and with Instagram being a huge place where you can find tons of new designers daily, I take advantage of this. I recently came across Alice McCall’s Resort 2020 collection, and completely fell in love.
As Memorial Day is approaching, I can’t help but think about poolside fashion and what’s on my wishlist for this season. When May starts to come to a close, and the summer season is so close we can feel it(hopefully, I’m talking to you Mother Nature), pools start to open and it’s time to start picking out your favorite coverups, sunglasses, hats, and more to stay chic.
Although Louis Vuitton didn’t have the best dressed celebrities at this years Met Gala; a few to name are Emma Stone, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, and Laura Harrier. But, their Resort 2020 collection that debuted last week was great.
Don’t get me wrong I love a classic toe-toned shoe, but what I really love in a shoe is it’s creativeness. Shoes can do wonders for an outfit, but they can also make or break one. They are the most important part of an outfit.
Searching endlessly online and in stores for classic, girly, feminine dresses and have constantly be let down when I can’t find any, or find pieces but they have a pricey tag on them. About a year ago, Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam quite literally came to the rescue and saved all of us girls. Keep on Reading!
I discovered Alessandra Rich just a few weeks ago on one of my intense pinning sessions. Goodness, once you go down the Pinterest rabbit hole there is no returning. Whilst pinning away I came across a photo of a model wearing one of the SS19 looks; it was the one with the model close up, in a yellow floral dress with matching belt, with lovely gloves on(that now made me realize I absolutely need a pair). She was accessorized in over sized pearls(um, YES please!) and an oversized headband. In that moment, I was hooked. Keep on Reading!
I can’t believe it’s already the end of 2018! What a year it has been, with graduating high school and starting college, it’s been a year with a lot of changes, and I can’t wait to see what 2019 brings into my life! Some big changes are happening in January that I’m nervous but so excited about, and can’t wait to share in a few weeks. Keep on Reading!
Happy Labor Day weekend everyone! For all the shopaholics out there (like me), holidays are some of the best times to get amazing deals on pieces you can wear now, save for later, and wear for the upcoming seasons! I couldn’t resist this fuchsia skirt here, sadly the matching top was sold out ( :(( ) but I still had to get the skirt because of how unique it is! I also just bought this striped peplum bow top here, it’s so cute and perfect for the summer to fall transition- and I’ll definitely be wearing it all winter with a black long sleeve underneath it too!
I went to faux fur heaven when I spotted the pink mules down below. I couldn’t get them because they aren’t in my size, but still included them in my favorites down below just in case any of you size 7 or 8 girls love them! All the pieces I’ve listed down below are on sale until September 3rd(Labor Day), and for River Island you have to use the code LABOR18 at checkout to get 20% off! If you order anything from Saks make sure to use the code FREESHIP at checkout to get free shipping. Happy shopping and enjoy the rest of the long weekend!

The summer to fall transition can be weird- you never know when the weather is going to hit the low 70s and 60s, so finding something to wear can be a guessing game. Sometimes it doesn’t actually get into the 60s until the end of October, which is sad for all the fall fashion fanatics like me who are ready for that weather when September comes around!
In the mornings it can be chilly, and the weather can either stay in the rather cool(er) zone the entire day, or it can get hot in the afternoons. To be prepared for either, I’m going to share some dresses down below that are perfect for the summer to fall transition. Slits, fall tones & prints are what you can find below to help keep you stylish and comfortable during the upcoming transition. Carry around a sweater or light jacket with you to pair with any of these dresses in case it is cool.
I think headbands are my new thing…. I’m not someone that likes their hair fully down the whole day because by the end of the day the top of my hair almost always starts to go flat. But, with a headband this solves all my problems, and makes it more fun to create looks.
I love matching colors and prints in my looks, and with a headband this adds another accessory to experiment with. A headband elevates any look because it adds a new print and texture which makes the outfit that much more interesting. There are so many unique and fun headbands on the market that I decided to do a round-up of my current favorites below.

Last year, just like this year, I start to shop early for fall to build up a good sized wardrobe for the season when it finally arrives. Last year though, I made the mistake of buying lots of cold weather clothing like thicker sweaters, pants, and jackets made more for the winter. Last year the weather really didn’t cool down until the end of October, so I had a hard time styling those pieces with warm weather. So, the good thing about this year is that I now know how to shop smart for fall, and also how to bring the fall feeling into my wardrobe even if the weather is still hot.

Down below I’m going to break it down by section and share pieces you can style differently into the heat for fall.
Once it hits the end of August/ beginning of September I’m already over summer fashion, but the weather also seems to be restricting me on bringing in fall style. A quarter sleeved top is never a bad idea with a pair of jeans or jean skirt. This year I’m purchasing tank top sweaters, fall-colored and printed tops to help bring the fall feeling into my closet. When it comes to plaids, oranges, reds, and deep greens, nothing can help bring the fall into your wardrobe than these colors. Cardigans aren’t just for chilly days either; you can tie one around your shoulders or waist to add different prints/textures to any look.
Skirts and pants are probably the most easiest(along with dresses) to transition into fall. There are so many plaid printed skirts and pants in stores right now that are great because when it gets cooler you can add layers and tights. I’ve also linked some fall colored pants down below.
So many cute dresses and jumpsuits!! All of these pieces down below are perfect to wear in the heat, and they have fall colors/prints to give a fall feel. When the weather gets cooler you can add a scarf, jacket, or tights.
I’m loving oxfords and mules lately, and there perfect for fall! Studs are popular this fall; I saw a bunch of stud pieces on the Nordstrom sale this year. It’s not too early to wear velvet; the shoes I linked down below can be worn with a lightweight dress for hot days.
Last but not least, accessories. I’ve been totally obsessed with headbands lately, and just recently ordered this one. They make any bad hair day a good one, and they complete every look. Sailor caps aren’t just for the summer, the faux leather and denim ones I linked below are perfect for the summer to fall transition. Plaid printed and faux suede bags are perfect for the transition as well. I could never forget earrings, the ones I linked below are in the perfect tones to complete your summer to fall look.

Happy August everyone! Before we know it it’s going to be time to put away our summer clothes and start taking out our fall pieces, and I secretly can’t wait. I love summer, but I’ll always love fall fashion the most; layering and wearing faux fur is so fun and allows for lots of creativity in mixing prints, textures, and colors.
As some of us may know, Pantone labeled Ultra Violet the color of 2018. On the runways for Fall/Winter 18/19 last year we saw lots of lavender. Victoria Beckham, Tibi, and Brandon Maxwell are just some of the brands who showcased the beautiful color.
It may be a while for some of us until we can wear actual fall clothes… depending on how long it takes for the weather to finally cool down. But, that doesn’t mean you have to hold off on wearing the fall trends you love. Today I’m going to share some lavender pieces that you can start wearing now in the hot and humid weather.
