As I wear dresses almost everyday, I have quite a collection of minis and midis, but one of my all-time favorites to wear in the spring/summer are maxi dresses. I think they are so flattering and can be easily transitioned from day to night. Maxi’s with slits are super cute and it allows for you to breathe in the dress, but also show off your pretty shoes as well. They are a classic, beautiful piece to wear for any occasion. This tweed jumpsuit is my favorite piece in my closet right now. I love the button detail and how it has a front wrap that gives the effect of it being a dress, but it’s actually a jumpsuit! I got this headband before the jumpsuit, but noticed that it’s literally the perfect match! The chain detail on both pieces is spot on, and the headband is super comfortable, unlike some that you can’t wear for very long because they are too tight.
I love kitten heels, and especially for walking around because they are soooo comfortable, and they give you a heel! These pink suede ones were the perfect touch to this look. For jewelry I’m wearing a pair of gold hoops and a Kate Spade gold bow bracelet. This bag is one I’m going to be wearing all fall, big enough to carry around all day and put your things in, and I love the duffle bag shape.
Thanks for reading! Xoxo, MRJ
Along side this look, this dress is also a perfect summer to fall dress- and you can continue to wear it in cooler weather with layers. It’s sooo comfortable and fits like a glove. I love the way the shoulders fall; they give the dress a feminine touch and it’s the perfect sleeve length for a transitional dress into fall.
This headband is the answer to all my sparkly jewel dreams, and it’s a perfect colorful accessory for the sand colored dress. I paired the headband with these gem earrings from Zara. If I were to add another accessory, it would definitely be a gem ring.
Who says you can’t wear boots in the summer? It was surprisingly cool this past weekend so I broke out these glitter boots early and I can’t wait to keep wearing them all this fall and winter.
These boots are old from Zara, but there are SO many other super cute options, so I’m going to list my favorites down below.
Tweed is my favorite to wear in the fall and winter months, but this tweed skort was wearable during the cool(er) weather! It has some silver glitter in the fabric so these boots matched perfectly. This skort is old from Zara as well, but they have new pieces that are in my cart here, here, and this jumpsuit here.
I saw this coat in my moms closet and I LOVE the chicness of it. It’s such a cute little coat that I can wear throughout the fall and winter and easily can add fun layers for warmth. I love the sleeves and how the buttons are larger and covered with the fabric. It’s by Necessary Objects, but she got it a long time ago so similar pieces are down below.
This is the perfect dress to have in your wardrobe for the summer to fall transition. I will say it is a heavy dress, but along with the knit fabric and long length makes it perfect for fall. But, since it’s sleeveless and has a slit, still makes it wearable in the summer warmth.
I felt as though since the dress is very straight it would look more feminine with a belt; it allows for your waist to be seen and gives your body shape in the dress. This circle shaped Aldo bag is the PERFECT match to this dress, and is on sale right now.
Of course, another headband. The one that I’m wearing is from Anthropologie but is sold out 🙁 I linked a black one down below that I would wear with this look as well. I wrote a blog post last week on headbands & my current favorite ones here!
