My first socially distant dinner out called for my favorite summer Gal Meets Glam dress. My friend and I headed out to Boston’s North End and had Italian at Trattoria II Panino. It was a wonderful dinner, we sat outside and I felt perfectly safe in regards to COVID-19 precautions. Our waiter was so kind, and it was really nice to get out and support one of the many restaurants that have opened up in the area.
I just started The Politician this week, and I would be lying if I said the clothes weren’t the main attraction (for me at least.) Think 60’s mod meets preppy cool meets femininity. It’s all Miu Miu, Chanel, Dior, and Gucci ladies, with hints of Marc Jacobs, Maje, and Zara.
Whenever I’m home in Massachusetts I love to go to Cranes Estate in Ipswich. Not only is the home a dream, but the grounds are magical and every time I go I spend hours exploring. The rolling hills in front of the castle lead to a beautiful view of the ocean, and there is a gorgeous gardens. The garden is a whimsical escape, and this time the light was perfect. My friends and I could’ve spent the entire day just sitting in the garden reading and frolicking.
After several months of rarely putting on makeup and planning an outfit, this week a few friends and I headed out to Newburyport for a picnic by the water. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is sit by the water, it’s so refreshing and relaxing.
Lately I’ve been loving the look of a statement top and pair of jeans. For the spring and summertime I think it’s a chic look perfect for not only day but night as well. When the weather begins to get warmer I don’t layer as much, so a statement top does the trick, unless I accessorize with a light-weight scarf.
As always, I love playing around with different colors when creating new looks. It’s also a way to reimagine old pieces you’ve had in your closet for some time. I love any red and blue outfit in the summer, but to change it up I decided to throw in a splash of yellow with a flower headband.
A black jumpsuit is a very flattering piece to wear. It makes you look taller and when worn with heels is a really classic piece. To elevate my black halter jumpsuit I paired it with my teal flower belt(that I absolutely love, my best vintage find), and wore a seashell blue necklace with matching drop earrings. For bag I decided to add a pop of color with the neon yellow/green. I’m wearing bow black heeled sandals to continue with the black which makes my legs look longer. Especially for shorter people, never underestimate the power of a black jumpsuit to make you look taller.
When it comes to really anything in my life, I’m a maximalist all the way. My dressing, is probably at the very top of this list. I love to accessorize and match colors in different ways, and from head to toe I make sure everything in my outfit is complete. For this look I experimented with layering during the summer months. I have a pink suede shift dress, and on top I have a gray star tulle tank top. Noticing the silver in the top, to make my waist more defined I added a bow pearl chain belt, and added more pearls with a necklace. There is also rose gold in the top, so for earrings I have these space looking rose gold hoops that I’m wearing. I am wearing my favorite Pandora silver rings, and for shoes I added another pop of rose gold to make the silver to rose gold ratio even. Surprisingly I am not carrying my summer go-to bag for this look, but instead wanted to add this mauve colored simple bag that adds a new tone of pink to the look.
As soon as I saw these gloves whilst browsing through Amazon looking for vintage inspired hats I knew I had to have them and style them. They are the epitome of vintage style. I’ve styled them here with a floral midi dress with black bow suede block heels. I also love this thick ribboned straw bow hat.
I’ve never seen anyone look bad in a wrap dress, and I think it fits all body types so beautifully. The tie waist shows off your shape, and the wrap style has a very flattering and easy-going neckline, along with the bottom half. They come in mini, midi, and maxi lengths, making them perfect to wear for any occasion! In the summer months I see it as a style many women turn to and find them everywhere.
I’ve been eyeing the Lilly Pulitzer website quite a lot this past month. I love myself some bright colors and prints, so anything Lilly is right up my alley. I have lots on my wishlist, including this adorable one-piece bathing suit, this dress, and these shoes that I just can’t get enough of.
This midi dress is one of my favorites in my closet. Not only is this length flattering and perfect to feel comfortable in, I love the length of the sleeves as well. The neckline hits right at the perfect point on my neck, and the matching printed belt is a plus. It’s not attached to the dress, so you can wear it with other pieces in your closet as well! I absolutely love all the color this dress has, it makes so fun to accessorize!
My first six months of living in New York City were fabulous. I’m home for the summer, and I’m already missing the big city. I love being able to get up in the morning, put on a great outfit, walk out the door and just explore. Whether it’s dining at Sarabeth’s for brunch, reading in Central Park, or shopping in Soho, the city makes me so happy to even just walk around in. I love being surrounded by so many different and unique people. It inspires me to be better, and shouldn’t we all put ourselves in an environment that does this? I can’t wait to be back, and especially experience my first fall there. Fall is my favorite season, and it gets me all excited just thinking about being there for it.
This tweed jumpsuit is my favorite piece in my closet right now. I love the button detail and how it has a front wrap that gives the effect of it being a dress, but it’s actually a jumpsuit! I got this headband before the jumpsuit, but noticed that it’s literally the perfect match! The chain detail on both pieces is spot on, and the headband is super comfortable, unlike some that you can’t wear for very long because they are too tight.
I love kitten heels, and especially for walking around because they are soooo comfortable, and they give you a heel! These pink suede ones were the perfect touch to this look. For jewelry I’m wearing a pair of gold hoops and a Kate Spade gold bow bracelet. This bag is one I’m going to be wearing all fall, big enough to carry around all day and put your things in, and I love the duffle bag shape.

Along side this look, this dress is also a perfect summer to fall dress- and you can continue to wear it in cooler weather with layers. It’s sooo comfortable and fits like a glove. I love the way the shoulders fall; they give the dress a feminine touch and it’s the perfect sleeve length for a transitional dress into fall.
This headband is the answer to all my sparkly jewel dreams, and it’s a perfect colorful accessory for the sand colored dress. I paired the headband with these gem earrings from Zara. If I were to add another accessory, it would definitely be a gem ring.
The unique print and different colors of this dress screamed my name when I was online shopping at Asos one day. This crazy print is exactly what you need in your closet if you’re a print lover like me.
I got this dress soooo long ago(we’re talking like April lol.) I bought it for an event that I never ended up going to, but I didn’t want to return it because of how unique the print was and I knew I would wear it for something else.
I love unique pieces, which is probably why my closet is an explosion of different colors and prints. I love this dress and it’s perfect for a summer night out. I love the shoulders and how they drape, plus having straps as well allows for you to not have to worry about pulling it up the entire night!
The asymmetrical hem is very flattering and I love how it ruffles. All together I think this dress is a total must-have for anyone who loves to be daring with their prints. Even better, it’s on sale now for $50!

Sequins are sooo fun, especially in the summer when on clothing they come in all different floral and rainbow prints! I love this skirt, the floral print is sooo cute with the sequins. You can dress this skirt and the ones I’ve linked below up or down, which means you can go from day to night! This skirt is old from Zara, but they have a few more sequin skirts I love here, here, & here. Down below I’m sharing some of my other favorite sequin skirt finds!
This woven bag has been my go-to bag alllll summer! I love it so much! It’s sold out in the tan color, but is still available in black and on sale here. A few more of my favorite woven/raffia bags from Zara are here, here, & here.
I have been looking foreverrr to find a pair of shoes to go with this skirt(the color is so hard to find), and when I came across this Target pair, I was sooo happy/ relieved hahaha. I wanted something with a little heel, and this pair gives me that plus I love the wrap detailing in the front! P.S. They are SOOO comfortable, I recommend getting a pair, they come in black as well!
I was going through my closet today looking for something new to share but I didn’t really love any of the looks that I was putting together; which sparked some inspiration. You may not see it on Instagram very often, but I do re-wear pieces ALL the time. I don’t like sharing pieces that I can’t find online all the time because I like to share things that people can buy if they love. I know the frustration of seeing a piece that you love on Instagram or a blog, but can’t get because it’s sold out.
But, even though you can’t buy the exact piece that I’m wearing in this look, you can find inspiration for a look that you can recreate with your own wardrobe! I’m always going through other influencers blogs or Instagrams looking for inspiration for a new outfit whether it be the colors or style. Finding inspiration and creating a new version that’s more you is so fun.
Today’s color combo is the classic black and white, with mixes of neutral colors. I love adding belts to a-line dresses because it creates a more defined waistline and makes for a feminine look.
