Burgundy is a lovely shade to wear in the fall, and pairs so well with both browns and blacks, the basis of my autumn wardrobe. This coat that I’ve had for a year now was the perfect match to my Nars lip pigment in shade Warm Leatherette. This lip color is beautiful, and it lasts the whole day, with only a few touch ups after I drink or eat something. I love the Burgundy colors with the snake print, the two tones together look lovely.
For an autumn day in the Meatpacking District I was inspired by equestrian style. I love the preppy aesthetic that comes with it, and I’ve always wanted to go horseback riding in a full ensemble from Ralph Lauren, but this will have to due for now. I wore an old plaid blouse from Zara that’s still one of my favorites years later, with a vintage brown leather vest that my mother gave me.
I’m starting to cherish my Sunday’s more and more. As it’s a time to relax, but also catch up with yourself and prepare for the week ahead. Life is crazy and during the weeks I catch myself just going throughout the day, rushing around and not really thinking or letting myself just be for a second. There’s nothing better than waking up on a Sunday morning, grabbing brunch with a friend, and catching up on all the things to get a jump start into the week.
As we near closer to Thanksgiving the foliage is at its peak here in New York City. The weather is quickly getting cooler, and here in the city the holiday markets have already begun.
Before I fully jump into the holiday festivities, I couldn’t skip out on sharing my photos from this past October in Central Park. I’ve been dreaming for years to get to experience a New York Autumn, and I’m so happy to say I finally have.
A purple and red combination is one of my all time favorites. The deep purple and bright red make for the best autumn combination when you’re not feeling the tans, browns, oranges, and greens.
No season could ever top fall. After a hot summer, there’s nothing better than the change of seasons, feeling like there is a fresh start. The air is cool, and Autumn colors start to bloom.
Purple candy stripes were the mood for this September look. I find September dressing can be one of the hardest months to dress for, along with March. The seasons are starting to change, you’re slowly drifting your wardrobe from bright prints and florals to more fall-like tones and prints.
This past Sunday my friends and I went to the Coach Originals Pop-Up store in New York City, and it was amazing! They had restored vintage bags, along with new inspired bags from the archives. The bags were beautiful and had all the fall feels with the use of fall tones like greens, burgundy’s, and deep yellows. Upstairs they had their new collection which I love, the new prints are great for fall.
The balloon sleeve is a great way to play with 80s style, and with the modern twist on it that I’ve been seeing for this fall is perfect and can be worn casual, in the office, or going out. It’s a fun way to play with volume and spice up a more casual outfit when worn with jeans. A perfect way to add drama to any look.
September is creeping up on us, which means autumn is going to be here before we know it. It’s my favorite season, and I absolutely can’t wait to start breaking out my beautiful boots and autumn colors. When the leaves start to change I feel so much inspiration and joy, it’s like the start of a new year for me. I’m most especially excited for being in the city for this season. There will be many walks in Central Park, and photos galore. I’ve dreamed about being in New York City in autumn for years and years, and now I’ll finally be able to experience it. Crisp fall days are awaiting us.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now officially open to the public! Although it can be a stressful sale to navigate because there is so much to see and so many great deals, I suggest narrowing down on what you want to buy, and that’s shoes!
Ever since watching Gossip Girl for the first time about five years ago, Blair Waldorf’s iconic, preppy style has inspired me. It may have taken a while (about 3-4 years) to dress how I wanted to and imagined for years, but now that I am, it’s made me realize the one person who completely inspired me is Blair Waldorf. I know it’s getting cold, especially for us living in New England. It can be awful going outside whether your out for a day in the city, trying to clean off your car before going to work, etc. If I were to tell you one style tip for winter and braving the cold, it would be to leave the animals alone, stay away from real fur. A good bag deal just can’t be missed out on, especially when it’s Coach. I’ve been wearing Coach bags ever since I can remember; I even wear my moms bags that she got years ago! The quality is so good for the price, and I’ve never had one fall apart on me even after many years of use. Keep on Reading!
I don’t think I know one person who doesn’t have something floral in their closet. Many of us once the fall approaches put away our florals until next spring; but I certainly don’t stop wearing them, and neither should you! Keep on Reading!
Tis the season! Whenever I think of the holiday season and what to wear, the first thing that comes to mind (other than sparkles, of course) is velvet. It’s the perfect fabric for the cold weather, and it has a holiday glam feel like no other. Keep on Reading!
I’m loving cheetah print this fall, and I can’t stop adding all my favorite cheetah printed clothing and shoes to my wishlist! Instead of pairing these cheetah print jeans with a solid black sweater, I decided to add a print in. I love this sleeveless striped sweater with the cheetah print. Keep on Reading!
