Museums recently started to open back up in Boston, and since I’ve been home due to the virus I decided to take a trip down to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. I’ve never been to this museum and have had it on my list for quite a while. It didn’t disappoint!
The museum has visitors reserve admission tickets online prior to arriving, and masks were required at all times. I’m not sure what I was expecting the museum to be like, but I was so impressed and excited about all the art there was to see. There were multiple floors, and each room was so beautiful. I haven’t, like many others, visited a museum since before the lockdown, so it was nice to have a day exploring and get dressed up.
This sequin midi skirt I purchased on sale at Zara a couple of years ago and still is one of my favorite summer skirts. I’ve only worn it twice! Since I only attend university in New York City I have been coming home for summers, so my warm weather clothes rarely see the light of day. My ruffle top is from Zara that I purchased this season. I adore this top and how it’s so fun to wear, definitely a keeper!
When it comes to fashion, I gravitate towards dramatic, colorful pieces over and over again. One of my favorite things to do style wise is bring them together in a cohesive look. Its even better when the pieces were bought at separate times in my life. That’s why my ultimate style tip is to never buy into trends that you aren’t going to wear in three months. Truly purchase something because you love it, overtime you’ll notice you’ve curated a great wardrobe for yourself.
If you’re familiar with the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum you’ll recognize this photo that is most synonymous with the museum, the courtyard! I have always seen it through several photographs, but seeing it in person is another story. If you’re ever in Boston I highly recommend taking a visit here, it’s remarkable. Also, it is home to the largest property theft in the world which you can read more about here.
