A Day at The Cranes Estate

A Day at The Cranes Estate

Whenever I’m home in Massachusetts I love to go to Cranes Estate in Ipswich. Not only is the home a dream, but the grounds are magical and every time I go I spend hours exploring. The rolling hills in front of the castle lead to a beautiful view of the ocean, and there is a gorgeous gardens. The garden is a whimsical escape, and this time the light was perfect. My friends and I could’ve spent the entire day just sitting in the garden reading and frolicking.

A wrap dress is the perfect summer dress. Whether a mini, midi, or maxi, the style is flattering and comfortable for when the weather is humid.

The Crane’s Estate is a beautiful home built in the 1920’s, and inside is furnished with delightful period antiques. You can normally schedule tours of the home, but currently inside is closed because of the pandemic. A few years ago I explored the downstairs, I have some photographs of it here.

These are the exact Keds sneakers that I’m wearing and I love them. I’m not much of a sneaker gal, but these are one of the few exceptions! They are leather which gives them a dressed up look, and are extremely comfortable. My feet are always prone to blisters but I haven’t gotten any wearing these! I also love that they have a hidden inside wedge that elevates the foot creating height. Many of my dresses and skirts are longer so I always have to wear a heel, so these sneakers are perfect when I’m looking for comfort and height. All in all, they are perfect!

Whenever I come to Crane’s I always leave with so much inspiration. The whole estate is just so remarkable.
