Dreaming of Florals

Dreaming of Florals

With March here and how the weather has been playing out it seems as though we will most definitely be getting an early spring. I took a jaunt through Central Park last weekend and even noticed some of the trees starting to bud, and I even spotted a cherry blossom tree near Washington Square Park last Sunday. I know it’s so cliché, but I really do feel my best when wearing floral pieces. The print makes me feel put together and beautiful, the two things I look for when purchasing any piece. So as any lover of florals is doing right now, I’m dreaming of florals for my wardrobe.

This past week has been anything but a breeze. With all the anxiety that has been building up in everyone, it’s definitely been very distracting and can make me as I’m sure it does you, very overwhelmed. Feeling like the events of the COVID-19 are out of your hand and that you find yourself being hopeless in this scary time is frightening, but I think we all need to remember that even making small changes in our behavior can go a long way. Stay calm, wash your hands, limit travel, and don’t go out to events where there will be large groups of people. Let’s all be considerate of one another, and we will get through this.

This Berry Floral v-neck blouse from J.Crew is so beautiful and perfect for the spring/summer months. The puff sleeves add to it’s flattering silhouette. Right now it’s also on sale, with an additional 50% with code GOSHOP.

I adore this boater hat. Styled correctly, this piece really can take an outfit to another level.

This asymmetrical flowy dress is so whimsical and fun. The flutter sleeves make for just the perfect amount of movement.

The Rattia Woodstock floral print on this trench coat is bright and fun for rainy days.

This two-piece set has a young, fun print and is easy to wear with black tights and a blazer for cooler spring days, or alone on warmer ones.

Do you ever come across a piece online that from first glance you know you just need it? I got this feeling with this dress. It would definitely be a splurge item for me, so I’m keeping my eye on it for a sale. The statement bow and ruffled hem are just screaming my name. Although I reasonably would only be able to wear this dress to a very specific event, of course I’ll try to get away with it on a regular day. Of course.

This Victorian blouse is so pretty. I love the lace details at the wrists and neckline.

Although this is a darker floral print that can be worn in Autumn, I do like dark floral prints for March and early to mid April. Worn with a light hued top and accessories make it wearable for early spring.
