Falling Forward- A Print I’m Buying for Autumn

September is creeping up on us, which means autumn is going to be here before we know it. It’s my favorite season, and I absolutely can’t wait to start breaking out my beautiful boots and autumn colors. When the leaves start to change I feel so much inspiration and joy, it’s like the start of a new year for me. I’m most especially excited for being in the city for this season. There will be many walks in Central Park, and photos galore. I’ve dreamed about being in New York City in autumn for years and years, and now I’ll finally be able to experience it. Crisp fall days are awaiting us.

I’m starting to see fall colors and prints trickle into stores slowly, and a print that I’m definitely going to be wearing is zebra. I first saw it at Ann Taylor in a gorgeous trench coat, along with the print offered in a knee-length skirt as well. The print is versatile where you can wear it to the office, and also wear it to get drinks. I’m a firm believer that animal print will forever be chic, so investing in a nice zebra print coat for the autumn/winter season isn’t a bad idea.

If you’re feeling more on the wild side, opt for this zebra print suit. I absolutely love this and think it’s the perfect stand out suit. What a way to show your confident and that you’re up for any challenge.

Add zebra in a subtle way to your looks with an accessory. This belt would look great paired with a black wrap dress, or over a blazer (think a deep purple or orange colored blazer.) Who can go without a scarf? The silk fabric is simple and easy, and the pink touches to it make it look beautiful paired with a pink dress or blouse. Of course, a headband. I’m wearing headbands all autumn and winter long, and this zebra one is definitely a hit. You can wear it to the office or to class, but also pair it with a silk blouse or dress to go out.

Of course, you’ll find me wearing a full on zebra print look this autumn. I love the Ann Taylor trench coat and skirt, and they also have a matching sweater in the print as well. I think that outfit would look so nice paired with black boots, or with the matching zebra printed sling-backs. Vince Camuto has a zebra blazer perfect to wear with their matching wide leg pants. Alice + Olivia has a very flattering 3-quarter sleeve sheath dress great for the in between days of summer and autumn, and to layer when the cooler weather finally hits.
