Maria Grazia Chiuri turned the Dior Couture Spring 2019 show into a complete circus. The show took place in a tent lined with lights taking the attendees into a whole new atmosphere when they entered. Chiuri booked female acrobats, and they performed marvelously. Before the runway started the women performed a piece which encaptured everyone, and perfectly set the tone.
As the acrobats continued to perform, the models strutted in the ring wearing glitter swim caps. Rhinestones, glitter, and sparkle took over the show appearing on dresses, shoes, and tights. The suits wear sharp, my favorite being the red with gold accents. Candy stripes and diamond patterns captured my eyes, as wells as the victorian collars as I’m always longing for them in my closet.
I love when a show not only has a marvelous and creative collection, but takes that and brings it to a whole new level. From the venue to the acrobats, to the breathtaking sheer tulle gowns, it was a show to remember. I admire Maria Grazia Chiuri that she brings in these performers, she’s combining two forms of art beautifully.
