Since I can’t get my mind off of floral prints, warm weather, and wearing espadrilles I’m going to share spring/summer trends to know for this year! I started to count down the days until spring the day after Christmas, I’m totally a summer girl after the holidays end.
With the runways this past fall and celebrities/influencers traveling in the winter time it’s hard not to click that link to their cute sandals or maxi dress…especially when some days in New England it is 50 degrees!! Down below I’m going to share 8 trends to be on the look out for SS18 for all you girls who can’t stop dreaming of warmer weather.
Okay, I can’t even remember the amount of times I’ve seen somebody wearing a basket bag on my Instagram feed. Everyone traveling to warm places is carrying one, and stores that have started to come out with their spring lines have them. I’m absolutely in LOVE with all of them, I think their sooo cute and I can’t wait to be carrying them in a few months. I’ll definitely have a collection of them by the time summer ends!
Another bag trend for SS18 is the transparent bag. Along with the see through shoes on the runway, there were lots of clear bags to pair with them at Chanel, Celine, and Valentino. I think they are super fun for the spring/summer because it gives you the creativity to fill it up however you want to make it look even cooler.
Satin was another huge hit on the SS18 runways. With it’s shiny and fancy look it’s perfect for a night out, but can also be a more casual look with the right accessories.
I’m a total lover of mixed prints. Last summer I purchased a dress from forever 21 that was mixed print and I absolutely loved it, the post is here. I can’t wait to start wearing mixed prints again this spring and summer!
I love these sunglasses!! The 90s are coming back into fashion in all different ways, but these sunglasses have to be my favorite. I love wearing sunglasses that have different frames, so these are my all time favorite. They’re popular now, and once spring/summer comes around you’ll be seeing them everywhere.
Yay pastel colors!! I love love love pastel colors, I think they look so feminine on and scream spring. Other than florals pastel colors has to be my favorite thing to wear in the spring and summer.
Ruffles are so flattering, so there’s no doubt in my mind that I’ll be wearing them this year! I saw them all over the runway at Christopher Kane and Erdem.
Thanks for reading! Xoxo
