My Favorite Looks From the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017

My Favorite Looks From the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017

I. Love. The. Victoria’s. Secret. Fashion. Show. There’s no doubt that it’s the greatest fashion show of the year, and this year it took place in Shanghai. It’s amazing how everything is put together in just a year, it’s almost impossible but they pull it off.

From the looks to the location to the performers and you can’t forget, the models, the show is a global phenomenon. Only invited people get to attend the actual show, while the rest of the world can watch it on TV about a week later, this year being on November 28th 10/9C on CBS. The performers this year were Harry Styles, Miguel, Zane Zhang, Leslie Odom Jr., and Yundi Li.

Victoria’s Secret never disappoints with the show, despite this year having a few difficulties. The outfits and wings were spectacular as usual, and I personally LOVED the Balmain collaboration for this years show. The Punk Angel section was crazy good, and was something that we’ve never seen VS do in all it’s years doing the fashion show. What’s even better is we’ll be able to shop VSxBALMAIN on 11/29/17(today!!)

This year we saw a few return back to the runway, Candace Swanepoel missed last years show because she had a baby, and Karlie Kloss returned after 3 years. Along with a few returning, one angel said their final goodbye to Victoria’s Secret, walking her last show this year. Alessandra Ambrossio has been walking in the show for 17 years, and I can only imagine it was an emotional, yet exciting show for her to end her career as an angel.

This year the beautiful Lais Ribeiro got the Champagne Nights $2 million dollar fantasy bra. She’s been walking in the VS show since 2010 and officially became an angel in 2015. I think it was the perfect choice, the yellow sapphires, diamonds, and blue topaz looked amazing on her. Elsa Hosk got the Swarvoski look, which had more than 275,000 Swarvoski crystals. The wings she got looked unbelievably heavy, and she pulled it off, making it look like it weighed nothing!

One of my favorite parts of the show was when model Ming Xi took a fall, never losing her smile, and behind her,¬†Gizele Oliveira helped her up. Following this, Gizele applauded Ming Xi as she finished her walk. I’m sure Ming Xi felt so embarrassed, but the way she dealt with it was so gracious, and it only shows the world that even the models in the VS¬† show aren’t perfect, everyone makes mistakes.

The show is a models dream, I mean who wouldn’t want to strut down an amazing catwalk with an incredible outfit on?! So much hard work goes into making each look unique. I know if I was tall enough to be a model this would be my goal. The models work so hard to take care of their bodies, looking there best for the show, it takes a lot to get there! It’s a long, hard process, but I can only imagine what the reward feels like. I could sit here and write about the show for hours because it’s so spectacular, but instead I’m going to share some of my favorite looks down below!
